Record your running and walking as individuals or as a team of up to seven to take on Graham’s distance as he runs to set a new treadmill world record and raise funds and awareness for CALM, Campaign Against Living Miserably.

A word from Graham

What is “RunGrahamRun”?

From the 3rd to the 10th October, I will be attempting to break a world record and running 21 marathons in 7 days. I am doing it to raise awareness for mental health and to raise money for CALM, Campaign Against Living Miserably. I want to highlight the benefit that exercise, especially running has towards better mental health.

Long runs form a part of my "headspace" and calming down at the moment. There's a mindfulness element to the "chug motion" when it's just you. It's not a new phrase or concept but something I've had to say to myself a lot over the last year in running and in real life is "run the mile you're in".

How do I get involved

Graham is challenging others to get involved, get outside and see how far they can get in that time. Record your run or walk distance between the 3rd-10th October, add to your profile and see how you compare to other individuals, within your team, against other teams, and ultimately – see if your team can beat Graham’s distance goal. Everyone taking part will receive a medal on completion of the challenge. You’ll also know your support has helped raise awareness for CALM and helped motivate Graham during his run; and by just taking part, you’ll be helping raise funds for CALM with a minimum of £6 per entry going towards charity.

Who can take part?

Anyone and everyone; whether you’re a team looking to pitch yourself against Graham’s attempt, or if you’re solo running or walking to help support Graham as a show of solidarity..

How It Works

1

Sign up to take part as an individual or as a team.

When you sign up to start your own team, you get an invitation code that can be used by up to six other participants to join your team

2

Get moving

Get out there, get running and walking, track your activitiy and clock up that distance. Feel the wind in your face, relax and HAVE FUN! Once you’ve finished each day, log your total distance on the website.

3

Share to raise awareness

We want you to help raise awareness of what CALM do and why it’s so important; you can help by sharing your runs on social media using the hashtags #rungrahamrun #sevenvsone #calmzone and #endthestigma.

4

Earn your medal

Everyone who signs up will receive a RunGrahamRun medal at the end of the event. Just by taking part you’re making a difference for yourself, and to others.

Team Registration

If you have a group of friends, family or colleagues that want to take part you can sign up as a team. Your individual steps will still be logged, but you’ll have a mini team to see how you compare against your friends. You’ll also see how well your cumulative team total compares to other teams. We all love a bit of competition to keep us motivated!

When you create a team you will receive a code to give to people to sign up. This will allow them to join your team once they have paid their entry fee. If you'd like to pay the entry fee for everyone on the team, or multiple teams, then just drop us a message and we can make that happen!
